Accepting the Mysteries of Life - Both Easy and Hard

Life is characteristically either easy or hard, and many of us wander between these poles from one day to the next. Balance can be elusive. When things are easy pride becomes us, but when things turn hard it is self-pity we run to. Both of these destinations are ruts.

There are cycles of easy and cycles of hard,
Directions of pride and pity to guard,
Straddling the knife's edge and not to be cut,
Is living life so as to avoid many a rut.

When we take life in a bipolar fashion, swinging from easy to hard and back again, we quickly recognise how tantalising temptations are in just living life within the situations we are placed. But it goes better for us when we dare to approach balance.

There are tantalising temptations with which to scare,
These are opportunities with which to dare,
For the prize on offer stands there to be claimed,
As proof of the direction in which we aimed.

Our aim is balance.

OH, TO ACHIEVE BALANCE!

This is something that the balanced take for granted. The wise take their balance in their stride. But a bipolar spirituality is something many of us are entangled with. Oh to achieve balance. What we would do for it!

But to be fair, we organise ourselves a better perception of life and reality when we take life as it comes.

There are cycles of times that are easy, as much as there are cycles that are hard. Never can we assume that the next moment will be one or the other. The uncertainty of life creates mysteries around the incoming situation, and therefore how we will handle it.

Amongst a bitter degree of uncertainty we are cast forth into the world.

God mandates life this way, such that we must deal with what comes, and as peaceably as we can. But dealing with polar disparities of easy and hard is not an especially impossible task. God's grace is sufficient. And we remember that the wisdom in balance is achievable most of the time, so long as we don't expect perfection of ourselves. We will need to lower our expectations.

Never will we be perfectly balanced, just like never will we completely understand life in the midst of all its challenges, beauties, uncertainties, glories, or disappointments.

***

Accepting that life is both easy and hard - and it's all between - requires a balanced resilience in comprehending perfection of understanding is unattainable.

Understanding that life is often a confusing mystery beyond us helps us to struggle onward; to struggle well. No matter what comes - whether it's easy or hard - we have a way to balance through the grace in God.

Weight Loss And Other Benefits Of Jogging

One of the most ancient and effective exercise to keep the body fit is jogging. Doctors consider jogging as a cure for many diseases. Jogging keeps one's mind fresh and active together with other parts of the body. The effectiveness of jogging can be realized by the fact that it involves the entire body during the jog.

Simple and Easy

Jogging is considered the simplest and easiest way to lose weight and maintain a high metabolism. There exist wrong perceptions among many people that cutting down on food intake will actually reduce their weight. However, this has been proven wrong as health consultants have consistently advised to eat properly. Eating is a way of staying healthy. It is true that eating more would lead to weight gain, but eating less would not necessarily cause weight loss. It has to be accompanied with some exercises, such as jogging.

Improves Stamina

Jogging simply enhances the appetite and improves one's stamina. Jogging doesn't require a person to go to a gym nor to install expensive machinery at home. It just asks for good shoes, enthusiasm, and, if possible, a partner. Jogging 6 days a week for at least half an hour can help burn enough calories to effectively lose weight. However, consistency and commitment is important to reach the desired goal.

Unlike other exercises, jogging is a fun thing to do. It also improves lung capacity and makes the heart a lot healthier than it is. This means that a person who jogs regularly has more stamina than a person who doesn't. With increased stamina, a person can work for longer and do many different kinds of exercises. It keeps the person healthy and active throughout the day. People who get fatigues easily should consider jogging as part of their everyday routine.

Fights Diseases

Other than weight loss, jogging has many other benefits. It helps one stay away from numerous diseases like diabetes, osteoporosis, heart attacks etc. As it brings all body parts to function, jogging facilitates the supply of oxygen around the human body. By increasing the heart rate of a person, jogging can be very beneficial when it comes to fighting heart diseases. By being a great combatant against all such diseases, it can be said that jogging increases the efficiency of the immune system. It acts an important element of a healthy and active lifestyle.

In the busy lifestyle of the urban man, jogging provides a perfect break from the hectic and demanding everyday routine. Jogging helps relieve stress and provides peace of mind and solace. Studies have also estimated that jogging builds up one's confidence by improving the overall attitude of the person. A useful tip while jogging is to listen to fast music.

Can Science Explain Everything? Why Do We Need Philosophy, Religion, and Art?

Science cannot explain what belongs to the abstract dimension of our reality. Science can verify what belongs to our material reality, and explain the origin of phenomena that are part of our material life. A scientist is a realistic researcher.

Philosophy is a rational speculation and meditation. A philosopher is constantly looking for answers. A philosopher analyzes the material and the spiritual reality, and makes conclusions after observing many factors.

Religion is the purification of the human spirit from the sins of the materialistic world, and from the sins of the human conscience. A religious person has faith in God and respects specific moral principals, which act like protective laws.

Art is the free expression of our thoughts and feelings in a beautiful form. It reflects our psychological system and the psychological condition of the world. An artist loves his/her art more than his own life.

Each discipline gives us different knowledge. We need all disciplines in order to have a global vision of our reality. Science alone cannot explain the meaning of wisdom. Wisdom is more than just knowledge.

Wisdom depends on philosophy. You must understand the meaning of life if you want to be wise. If you ignore the meaning of life, you don't know if anything else has any meaning.

The way you interpret your reality is your personal philosophy of life.

When you think about your life, you understand that it is a complex system composed by many elements. You need many things in order to be happy. You need peace, but there is no peace in the absurd world. You need material conditions in order to survive, but your world is ruled by violence and greed. You need a social life, but making friends is problematic.

Everything is difficult. Living well is complicated.

Your personal philosophy of life helps you interpret your reality. However, you are ignorant, and there are many dangers everywhere. You need superior guidance.

The unconscious mind that produces your dreams is your natural protector. The unconscious mind is God's mind and knows everything.

By following dream therapy you will understand how to stop being influenced by your wild nature, and how to stop being influenced by the violence of the world.

The unconscious mind transforms you into an artist because your art helps you understand that only perfection is beautiful. You must desire to be perfect like your artistic creations.

You need art in order to understand the meaning of beauty. Beauty gives you joy. This knowledge cannot be given by science or philosophy.

You must love what is beautiful, and never generate catastrophes. The unconscious wisdom helps you pay attention to the beauty of nature by helping you develop your artistic inclinations. This knowledge helps you become more sensitive.

You must be sensitive if you want to be able to understand how other people feel and read their minds. Your sensitivity is more important than your cold rationalism. Sensitivity gives you balance and prevents mental illnesses. Sensitivity makes you pay attention to human pain.

The psychotherapy of the unconscious mind transforms you into a wise human being who pays attention to all aspects. You need this psychotherapy even if you have never had psychological problems.

The unconscious treatment is mind empowerment and spiritual purification. This psychological treatment helps you evaluate the importance of goodness, especially in the hardest moments of life.

This treatment helps you understand your religion.

Your religion shows you the difference between what is good or bad. Your religion also helps you understand that you must follow a path to self-improvement.

You discover why you must cultivate love in your heart and why you have to be generous with everyone. Everyone needs compassion. Everyone is suffering for some reason.

The unconscious mind also helps you understand the scientific aspect of your treatment, so that you may have objective knowledge. You learn how your brain works and what determines your behavior. You become a psychologist yourself.

Science is a discipline that helps you understand why everything happens the way it does. It is quite similar to philosophy. However, science is based on objective scientific discoveries and not on ideas, like philosophy.

Everything is important. Everything helps you become more intelligent. You must pay attention to everything at the same time if you want to make wise decisions, and prepare positive life conditions for yourself in the future. You also have to be sensitive. You should always remember that your sensitivity gives you balance; not your reasoning.

Christina Sponias continued Carl Jung's research into the human psyche, discovering the cure for all mental illnesses, and simplifying the scientific method of dream interpretation that teaches you how to exactly translate the meaning of your dreams, so that you can find health, wisdom and happiness.

Healthy Diet To Gain Weight

While most of the population is concerned about being overweight, there are people who are too skinny and face difficulty in gaining weight. Due to a fast metabolism, these people are called "hard gainers." Choosing the right diet plan is important to put on some pounds of muscle to feel confident and attractive. A healthy diet to bulk-up means to opt for quality food that can help gain muscle mass.

Build up with Proteins

The most important element which has to be present in a diet plan is protein, the building block of human muscle. Of the foods that contain whole protein, egg is the recommended one. Eggs are the most efficient source of proteins. It not only provides proteins but also contain vital dietary fats and cholesterol, which are essential requirements to build body mass.

Concerned hard gainers should be adding chicken to their diet. Chicken is widely used to bulk up lean muscles as it contains protein sources that help build lean muscle mass. An appropriate choice of healthy proteins, skinless chicken breast is low in dietary fat and highly dense with protein.

Get Some Fat on You

Salmon is also another quality food that can help. It contains omega-3s which can boost muscle growth. For lesser fat concerned people, having beef rather than chicken can help bulk up fast too. This is because beef adds up the fat content which facilitates mass gaining. Milk is also a significant source of proteins and fats. Whole milk is better than skimmed milk as the former provides fats to increase testosterone production, accelerating muscle build-up.

Fats are essential parts of the diet. While common perception makes a person feel like they should avoid fats at all cost. This is, in fact, a false perception. There are two kinds of fats: animal fats and plant fats. Animal fats may cause coronary problems and cholesterol, thus should be taken in very small and calculated quantities. On the other hand, plant fats and oils and very good for the healthy growth of cells and body tissues. Examples of such fats include plant seed oils and fats contained in fruits and vegetables.

Fats are great for building body protoplasm. They are also necessary for keeping the body warm. A layer of fat beneath the skin helps body insulation. This helps keeping the body warm in a cold environment and cool in a hot environment.

It is evident that nature has a delicate balance and it is up to humans to maintain that balance in order to have a healthy life. Without a healthy life a person can develop many diseases that will not only decrease the life expectancy but will also make life painful and tough due to many diseases and conditions. Thus, it is beneficial to have a healthy body that is in the best shape.

The Team Concept

It may seem sometimes that teamwork is something everybody talks about and nobody does anything about. But teamwork can and does exist. A wise man once said: "there is no stronger force in this world than a group of people working willingly toward the same specific goal." Teams are made not born. The best results are obtained when people work together with a sense of commitment to one another as well as to their organization.

It has been found that unity of purpose is a chief distinguishing feature of an outstanding managerial group. Team effectiveness stems from shared obligations for the organization and understanding of the role and responsibilities of each member of the team. Are you a good team member? A person can be a good member without being a good team member. What constitutes a good team member? There are nine important components:

#1 - A TEAM MEMBER IS LOYAL Loyalty to each team member and to the team as a whole is essential. This means that a team member must support team decisions regardless of personal preference. Present a united front to the membership. Don't wash dirty linen in public. Don't bad mouth other team members. Learn to address issues and avoid personality conflicts. Sometimes it's difficult to separate oneself from the issue and the person presenting the issue but a good team member learns how to do it. Keep board and committee discussions confidential.

#2 - A TEAM MEMBER IS COMMITTED Each of us makes a choice as to the role we will play on the team. We either join in as an active, caring member or we go through the motions from the sidelines. The active, caring team member says, "I make a difference. What I do makes it possible for the board or committee to run smoothly. I'm part of what outsiders see when they judge my team. With every telephone conversation, every personal contact, every letter, I make a statement about my organization."

#3 - A TEAM MEMBER IS DEPENDABLE You will command respect in direct proportion to the number of people who have confidence that you will not let them down in any situation. When you undertake anything - finish it. Build a reputation as a person who is thorough and sees things through. Let people be sure that your word is your bond.

#4 - A TEAM MEMBER IS GOAL-ORIENTED Goals need not be earth-shattering to be worthwhile. It's better to take small steps and reach your destination, than try to take giant strides and trip over your own feet.

Here is a test that is designed to help your team achieve its goals.
Ask yourself these questions and answer them thoroughly:
a) Where is my group headed? Are we accomplishing our responsibilities and achieving our goals?
b) What have I done today to help get these things done?
c) What will I do tomorrow to help get these things done even better?

Answering these questions could dramatically benefit your personal growth and your team's success. As a good team member, help determine how the goal should be accomplished. Input from everyone is needed. And your contribution is vital and important.

#5 - A TEAM MEMBER IS PROFESSIONAL Author Frank Tyger wrote: "Professionalism means consistency of quality." There are certain personal qualities that mark the true professional. You are a real pro a) if you are mature - if you have self-confidence that comes from accepting yourself and others as you see them. b) if you have integrity - you quite naturally project sincerity and are honest and fair in your dealings with others. c) if you are knowledgeable - with knowledge that comes from study about your office or committee assignment and our organization in general. d) if you have the right attitude and you are business-like in your approach to your responsibility. You respect other people's time and effort as well as your own. e) if you think, act and perform professionally.

#6 - A TEAM MEMBER IS CO-OPERATIVE During a hike in the woods one day, a troop of Boy Scouts came across an abandoned section of railroad tracks. Each in turn, tried to walk the rails, but eventually lost his balance and tumbled off. Suddenly, two of the boys, after considerable whispering, bet the others that they could both walk the entire length of the track without falling off. Challenged to make good their boast, the two boys jumped up on opposite rails, extended a hand to balance each other and walked the entire section of track with no difficulty whatever. This example of co-operation gives us a prime example of accomplishing a task through co-operative teamwork. The difference between a successful organization and a poor one is quite often a reflection of the co-operation, or lack of it, among the members of that organization. When there is no co-operation, no spirit of the helping hand freely extended, what might have been an interesting, challenging assignment becomes a depressing chore. But, when people willingly help each other, that spirit of teamwork has a way of removing any unpleasant aspects of the job ahead.

#7 - A TEAM MEMBER IS COURTEOUS Courtesy is defined as gentleness and politeness. It is the medium of social exchange just as money is the medium of economic exchange. Our manners are an extension of ourselves and we should use manners as a bridge to reach people, not as a fence to keep them away. No degree of friendship can justify or condone discourtesy. Courtesy is a habit that is useful toward success in any undertaking. Treat every one you meet with such consideration that his memory of you will be pleasant. No one is likely to say thank you too often. When any service is performed there should be no hesitation in expressing appreciation with a smile.

#8 - A TEAM MEMBER IS PEOPLE-ORIENTED This short anecdote illustrates the meaning of being people-oriented: A business friend who always seemed to be caught up in a constant round of activities and good causes of one sort or another, was once asked whether he found time for hobbies in his busy life. "Oh, yes", he said, "I have a great hobby - meeting people, talking to them and finding out the best about them."

Andrew Carnegie, an American industrialist in the 1800's who is known for having built one of the most powerful corporations in United States history, once said that it marks a big step in a person's development when he or she comes to realize that other people can be called on to help him or her do a better job than can be done alone.

#9 - A TEAM MEMBER IS ENTHUSIASTIC "Enthusiasm is the greatest asset in the world. It beats money and power and influence. Enthusiasm tramples over prejudice and opposition, spurns inaction and like an avalanche overwhelms and engulfs all obstacles." - Anon.

"The more genuine enthusiasm we put into each day's work, the more we will accomplish. And the more we will inspire those around us to greater accomplishments. No assignment is too tough, no responsibility is too great to handle if we approach it with enthusiasm and the desire to do a good job. There seems to be a strange, almost magical power that emanates from people who have honest enthusiasm. We have all seen instances of how enthusiasm seems to breed unbelievable energy and resourcefulness for those who have it. He who is afraid to manifest enthusiasm lest his dignity suffer is not likely to have much dignity to lose by and by. Enthusiasm is the steam which makes the engine go!" - from "The Wonderful Power of Enthusiasm"

Love With Your Heart, Ego Can Kill Your Relationship

It is always easier for a man to seduce a beautiful woman without the loss of egoistic personality and pride. Women are always used to getting a man hit on them all the time. However, this is not the case with some seductive women. Some women find it hard to express their heartfelt feelings regardless of how pressing they might be and when they do; rejection is the last thing they expect. This terribly kills her ego.

I first had my serious relationship when I was 17. My first girlfriend, Myra a beautiful girl an half cast of a Moroccan and a French. Her beauty extended beyond any imaginations. She had gorgeous large eyes and a perfect body for the girl of her age. Her perfect body shape attracted the attention of my friends with some nicknaming her as Jennifer Lopez (J-Lo).

We started dating after two months of meeting but the circumstances that led to our relationship frankly jolted my emotions. One day, Myra told me that she had something important to tell me but she was so embarrassed to say it. I insisted, she took a while but finally opened up. What she said was the least expected.

She opened up her heart and she expressed how much she had fallen in love with me. It was the first time in my life that I once felt the art of a woman's seduction. This came to me as a huge surprise; I never expected this from her, let alone from a gal as beautiful as Myra. However, I tried to hide my happiness as much as possible. I didn't want to admit directly that I liked her as well.

Suddenly, I woke up to the reality. My surprise had taken toll of me and I was almost falling for this supposed trap. My defensiveness did something that no other should ever do to a girl. I gathered enough courage, boosted by my growing ego and I told her that it was wrong for her to love me because it was too early for us to start a relationship.

Myra broke up with me after two weeks. When this occurred, I was the one crying that I loved her; I wanted her to give me another chance. It took me about two years to completely let go of Myra. I felt upbeat and depressed for her loss because of a girl. It is now 12 years down the line and I have not forgotten the look of deception on her face when I faked how I felt for her.

In retrospect, I rejected her proposal in the first place because I felt unworthy of her love. I rationalized things because I felt very uncomfortable at the idea of someone loving me. My reaction was elicited probably by my ego. Some love gurus would call it an "inner game' issue that every human being exhibits.

This story should teach you not to repeat the mistake I made myself. I shouldn't have let my ego take over what I truly felt for Myra. You should learn to love with your heart and not your mind. Do not let your egoistic personality to take over very important decisions of your life.

3 Tips For Men Who Want to See Better Things Happen In Their Lives

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting more from your life, for wanting to experience life more like the way that you want to be. While it is true that there are always going to be some ups and some downs that you have to deal with, there are ways to go about making things start to align with what you would like them to be. It may be hard to get yourself out of thinking that things have to be the way that they are for you right now, but if you can just give yourself the chance to see that things can be different, you might just find that life has a funny way of giving you more of what you really want.

Here are 3 tips that you can utilize if you want to see things get better in your life:

1) The more clear you are on what you want to change, the easier it is to start making changes.

I know what it is like to wake up one day and realize that things just are not the way that you'd hoped that they would be. That can mean you are not working the job that you'd like to be working, it could mean that you are not as financially secure as you'd want to be, and it can also mean that you are not in the kind of relationship that you would like to be in. When you are clear on what it is that you want to change, that's when things can really start turning around.

2) You won't get what you want if you are just complaining all of the time.

Personally, I am not too big on a lot of the positive thinking kind of advice that you see most of the time in relation to self improvement. However, I do know that complaining about the way that things are going is not the way to get what you want. You can't complain about how hard it is to get a job and expect that you are going to just get one. And you also can't complain about it being terribly difficult to meet women and expect that to change, either.

3) Following the examples of those who are doing what you want to do helps.

It's always a little bit easier to get on the right track if you have some examples of guys who are doing the things that you want to do. So, if you want to be more in charge of your finances, find examples of men who have turned their life around financially so that you can have some clear examples showing you that it is possible. If you are hoping to have a much more fulfilling dating life, find examples of men who are having the time of their lives meeting women and you should start to see that your attitude changes and that you begin to believe that things can move in the right direction for yourself.

How would you like to make changes like trying to overcome your dating limitations so that you can become more confident and experience what it is like to be a real alpha male who is in charge of your life and getting what you want?

Why Hypnosis Is So Successful In Resolving The Fear Of Public Speaking

Fear of public speaking is a phobia, an illogical state of mind, when we are overwhelmed by completely irrational fears. The fear of public speaking is, in fact, a trance-like hypnotic state, brought on by subconscious triggers. The best way to resolve the fear of public speaking is to use hypnosis to access the subconscious mind and to neutralise those triggers.

Logically, the fear of public speaking does not make much sense. You may be well-prepared, an expert in the field, and there is no real threat whatsoever. But the body reacts with complete panic. Your heart races, you cannot breathe or you hyperventilate, your hands shake or become damp, you start sweating or blushing, the tone of your voice changes, and your mind goes blank. Sometimes it happens suddenly without any warning, but most often nervousness grows far in advance of the event, leading to ever-present anxiety and stress.

What can help to overcome this fear? There are many ways it may be addressed. There are medical solutions, which help with the physical symptoms but not with the fear. Some medical solutions include taking medication, which may have strong side effects or become addictive. There are even more dangerous medical solutions, including a risky surgical procedure called ETS* to stop blushing.

There are also psychological solutions, which while not risky, are not very helpful, because talking about illogical fears and reasoning about them does not help in resolving subconscious fears. With time, it may help, but the process is very slow.

There are also many practical courses and coaching schools, where a supportive environment helps students to progress gradually and build confidence through practice. This usually works very well, but again, it is slow, and may take years. Very often, the fear comes back in formal situations, when the audience includes managers and colleagues from your company.

Hypnotherapy provides a fast solution, which completely dissolves this irrational fear. Even one hypnotherapy session with an experienced hypnotherapist will reduce the fear significantly. There are just a few more sessions required to change the fear into excitement and to build the self-confidence and self-esteem needed for optimal public performance.

The fear of public speaking, like any irrational fear, is usually caused by some past trauma, most often in early childhood. The memory of panic created by trauma is stored at the subconscious level as an essential survival strategy, an instant arousal of the body to fight or take flight. There is no time to think when there is a real danger; the body needs to act quickly to survive. The mind becomes blank, and you are like a terrified three-year-old child.

Every time a similar situation arises, it triggers automatically the same response and strengthens it. It becomes neurologically wired in your mind and in your body as it gets stronger. Even thinking about public speaking triggers butterflies in the stomach, elevated heart rate, sweaty hands, or a hot feeling in your face. After a few terrifying episodes, you start believing that you cannot speak in public and you hypnotise yourself into even more anxiety by negative self-talk.

How specifically does hypnotherapy help to dissolve those early childhood traumas?

Most of the early childhood trauma is not that traumatic when seen through adult eyes. This is why we usually do not remember those first incidents that triggered the fear. However, our mind is like a vast computer and every moment of our life is stored and can be revisited when in deep hypnosis. It is like being three years old again and experiencing the fearful situation, but at the same time having the resources and mind of an adult, not a helpless child. This allows for reasoning and leaving the fears in the past.

There are many ways the experienced hypnotherapist can assist with dissolving the triggers from the past, and the procedure differs, depending on the situation and level of distress. It is important not only to let go of the fears from childhood but also to desensitise the most recent public speaking panics. Yet, it can all be done in one or two hypnotic sessions.

A similar technique allows you to bring to mind and focus on positive memories from the past, times when you were confident and you spoke freely. It is easy to build on these experiences once there is nothing to trigger irrational fears.

The next step is to connect the same triggers with the positive experience and to build confidence and self-esteem for public speaking on every level, conscious and subconscious. At these levels, when the original fears are resolved, the psychological approach of connecting with logic and changing negative self-talk works. The coaching approach is also very effective, now that it feels good to have the real-life experience of speaking in public.

This phase of building confidence, coaching, and replacing negative self-talk with a positive approach can be accelerated in hypnosis. You can experience a positive future public event in hypnotic trance, learn how to coach yourself in hypnosis, watch yourself speaking, and keep improving. The hypnotic state allows you to build on this positive experience to create routine and excellence in a very short period of time.

Hypnotherapy is the best possible solution to resolve the panic of public speaking because it uses hypnosis. Not only do you dehypnotise yourself from illogical fears, but you also hypnotise yourself into confidence and good performance. It takes only a few sessions, and usually much more than the fear of public speaking is resolved. When you build strong self-confidence and self-esteem, general anxiety and social phobia also disappear.

* ETS (Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy) is a controversial surgical procedure where certain portions of the sympathetic nerve trunk are destroyed. The procedure is now banned in many countries, including Sweden, where it was invented.

Joanna Malinowska is a professional hypnotherapist, counselor, self-hypnosis teacher and Family Constellations facilitator. Joanna Malinowska runs a busy hypnotherapy practise in Sydney CBD, Australia and she is assisting many clients to overcome their fear of public speaking.

The Weapon Is LOVE

In the midst of total chaos, send out as much love as possible.

One light illuminates the darkness.

You may feel persecuted or punished when things go wrong. Remember that the greatest healing balm is love.

In the books "Life and teachings of the masters of the Far East" Baird T. Spalding (1872-1953) describes his adventures in the Himalayas with the spiritual masters. In it he describes teleportation, people walking through fire unharmed, Bi location, and Jesus appearing with Judas and forgiving him. Without the crucifixion there could not have been the Resurrection. Jesus said to his accusers "You could not do this to me without given the power to you from above." John 19:11

In the books Jesus helps protect a village from invading killers and robbers by standing on the mountain and sending out love. His Fathers love through him enveloped the mob and what happened? The invaders started to fight and kill each other because of their hateful ways.

Jesus love actually created and invisible wall of protection against the enemies.

In this world having to watch the injustices by a handful of people can create great sadness and anger. The dark forces are only strengthened by our fear, anger and worry. They feed off of it.

I believe that most of the people on the planet are good. Most people are just trying to get through the day with as much dignity as possible. They give out love to their family and friends and enjoy life as much as possible. Everyone's life has issues. Every person has weaknesses to overcome.

If we could get to the place of sending out love and compassion to this world and all people, maybe we could finally see the positive events that are happening.

Differences in religious beliefs have caused great suffering, created wars, and divided people. In Spirit we are all ONE. In the physical world people try to say, "My truth is the only truth." In fact, there are very similar truths in all religions.

"Transformation is levels of understanding." - my Higher Self, The Great Spirit within me, gave this phrase to me. She said she wanted to stay around and watch me transform as we danced together. Accept peoples "levels of understanding" and know that this is where THEY are on their path. If you don't happen to believe them, so be it. There are as many paths to God as there are people - each in their own beautiful way.

Sending out LOVE could change the world!

Quote by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

"The day will come when, after harnessing space, the winds, the tides, gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And, on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, humanity will have discovered fire."

Sharing Resources

I have always loved sharing resources. If I learn something, I want to tell everyone what I learned if I think it will help them. If I find out that a treatment they are considering lists a contraindication, I want to make them aware of it. If find out that there is a natural remedy for something that their allopathic medicine is causing adverse side effects, I want to tell them what it is, how much it costs, who sells the same thing for less money, and where they can buy it.

If they need a doctor, lawyer, accountant, wellness center, daycare center, social organization, training and development programs, mental health centers, interests and aptitude tests, etc., the chances are I know of something or someone or an organization that I can have you contact in many places around the world.

And this I used to do willingly and with gratification when people got the help they needed.

Notice I used the past tense. I used to do this willingly.

But something has definitely changed that has made me pull back and not be so forthcoming about sharing my resources and I can even trace its origins.

I had a brilliant friend. We went to school together, took some of the same classes together, and were involved in each other's personal lives. She graduated from college magna cum laude and went on to become a teacher and after a few years, she went back to school to become an attorney. She was a free-spirit and one of the most interesting friends I had.

Throughout the years, we kept in touch, visited each other even after I moved halfway across the country, and no matter how long we had been out of touch, when we got together, we were amazed that we were always involved in the same interests and the same studies without ever having spoken of them.

During those years, I had a client who was probably the best child psychologist in her state. She covered all the schools, specializing in special education, and was well known for her work with special needs children. Her evaluations were one of a kind; she left no stone unturned and she was the strongest advocate for these children.

One day she called me and told me about one of her children being put in the middle of a contentious lawsuit. She didn't know an attorney who could represent the welfare of this child with the preparation of the case and the delicacy that was required. And there I was, wanting to share my resources with her.

My friend had won a difficult landmark case that involved her setting a legal precedent and her name was now in the law books. So who better to refer my client to than my friend?

Hindsight has remarkable 20/20 vision and, in hindsight, I should have realized that my friend's "free-spiritedness" that was so refreshing for me, would not pair well with my client's perfectionist nature, especially when it involved her special needs students.

My client kept calling my friend to try to get her to discuss the case and go over her research; she wanted to be part of the process in preparing the case. My friend kept assuring her that she had everything under control and not to worry about it. Since I had spoken so highly of my friend, my client took a deep breath and tried not to worry about this case.

The day it went to court, my client and my friend met for the first time outside the courthouse and my client realized within minutes of meeting her that she had not prepared the case; she was walking into the courtroom without a shred of preparation.

My client had never lost a case for her special needs students before that day. In all the years she held her position in the school system, this was the first time she had to face the parents of a child and apologize for failing their child.

Remarkably, I didn't lose my client but I did lose my friend. My client stayed with me for the next couple of decades but my friend never called me after that day and we had been friends for thirty years.

That was a deep learning experience for me. Since then, I have never referred a friend to a client nor a client to a friend. This is something I profoundly regret because my friends and my clients are my most treasured resources. They could truly help each other, all things considered, but I would never take that chance again.

I even find myself backing away from recommending other resources which, in the past, I would have shared willingly. Instead of recommending a specific doctor or lawyer, I now tell people to get in touch with their county medical association or their county bar association for referrals. A far cry from what I used to do.

There are so many other resources that I used to share. I'm not particularly afraid of lawsuits even though we have become a litigious society but I am apprehensive about my friends and my clients having bad experiences due to my recommendations.

So, now I sit with mental lists of all the resources of all the things throughout the world that could help people but most of them go unspoken. Experience is a painful teacher.

How to Be With the Women You Like

If you feel you are going to be alone again on New Year then you don't really need to despair and just take a few steps in order to pick up that nice girl who will be spending the night with you. But many men make the mistake of acting desperate when they will want to be with a woman and the result is they won't get any lady impressed, but rather lured away.

So what do you actually need to do in order to get the attention of that special lady you might be looking at while reading this article?

1. First of all you need not to act desperate if you want to approach her. Women don't like guys that seem like they just want to get a weight off their shoulders by hooking up with them only for a reason or two and then dumping them. Women love stable relationships and they will see if you want something serious or just need to use her.

2. Did you know that guys who are funny will have at least twice as much chances for hooking up with them? So how about you act a little funny (but not stupid!) and try to impress her this way? Maybe order a drink if you're in a bar and make up a very short story about how once you ordered the same drink for a wonderful lady like her, but she left before the bartender could even bring it.

3. Note that if you want to learn how to pick a woman you will need to have style (yes, swag as well). So it's not only in your attitude, but also in the clothes you're wearing. Do you think a woman will look at a guy who is wearing baggy pants, a Slim Shady style cap and has the accent of a Brooklyn boy? No way! Be a gentleman in both looks and attitude, but don't overdo it. Be yourself and try to say only things that you would normally be able to say to a lady. If you force yourself to saying a line that you heard in a movie and it was impressive, it won't sound natural to her. So you will maybe make a fool of yourself.

4. Be honest with her. Women absolutely HATE liars (like many of us of course). If you want something from her, just tell her in a way that is not too direct or too personal. Make sure you use subtle meaning in your words and make sure that your body language and mimic will contribute to that.

5. Last but not least, picking up women requires practice. You might not get it in the first one, but after you will try picking up women for a few times, you will get it. You won't be nervous talking to them anymore nor will you feel that way when you'll show the gentleman inside you.

Learning how pick up the woman you like is not hard and it basically relies on being yourself. Add to that the manners your mother taught you and some personality and humor and you have the perfect ingredients for picking up any "hot momma" out there (as Johnny Bravo would say)!

By the way, do you want the formula for approaching any woman, anywhere and know exactly

Your Inner Self

I have always admired those who always knew what they wanted to do with their life. Some people knew the exact career they wanted to pursue, while others knew the kind of man they wanted to marry, and how many children they wanted to have.

Life changes you and sometimes it changes the direction you want to go. Once you adjust to your situation you then proceed to turn your plans to prosper into fruition. When you start to understand your inner self, you realize that it not about likes and dislikes, it is about emotions. Note what circumstances you are in and the emotions that it brings out. This is just one of the many layers to your inner self.

Acknowledgement of who you are is only one layer of recognition; there are more layers as well. Your inner self is like a cocoon, you peel away layer after layer. Each layer has a different lesson, such as; disappointment, trust, grief, jealousy, anger, forgiveness, and guilt. You will learn to accept the emotion, replay the circumstance, and acknowledge that holding onto that emotion is not a part of who you are; you are finally at peace with that emotion. That emotion will no longer have an impact on you. Once you have found the middle, the center of your being and recognize your true inner self, you awaken out of your cocoon. Every experience that you have will change you. Everything you see; you will now see differently. What use to be important to you is still important, but on a different level. You will find a new way of turning a negative experience into a positive one.

As your awareness grows you will understand that life is not about you. It is about ALL life. You see qualities in others and you bring awareness to them so that they might see them as well. You turn pain into comfort. A kind heart can turn a frown into a smile with the smallest gesture.

As your awareness grows foreign lands don't seem so distant. As your awareness grows you don't see one, you see millions. When you see your inner self you will also see the value of your true self. You will realize your own self-worth once you have taken the journey.

Getting to know our inner self is a journey through all the years of situations and emotions. Once you begin to sort through it, you will realize your own self-worth.

Self-Improvement Tip - Lengthen the Wisdom Curve and Shorten the Learning Curve to Master Success

Take a stroll through any bookstore and notice the number of books devoted to self-improvement. In some cases, this section is greater than any other section within the bookstore. A recent search on Google revealed:

31,700,000 hits on self improvement books
29,000,000 hits on self-improvement articles

Inventory Overture for the month of January 2007 indicated 10,360 searches for the term self-improvement. If we use this figure and multiply it by 3, this would suggest that over 30,000 searches each month are being conducted on the Internet by individuals seeking some information or specific answers on self-improvement in their quest to master success.

One of the most tried self improvement tips is to shorten your learning curve in the quest to master success. However, what does this really mean?

As an educator, performance improvement consultant and executive business coach, I have come to define learning as the acquisition of knowledge as this is the goal of learning. We acquire knowledge from our earliest learning experiences. However, let's be honest. Learning is useless unless we can take that knowledge and use it. When we apply knowledge, we are actually performing and that is the goal of performance.

Learning is the acquisition of knowledge.
Performance is the application of knowledge.

Therefore to improve our performance so that we can master success, we must apply more knowledge. To shorten the amount of time necessary to apply knowledge, one effective strategy is to find mentors, executive coaches and business coaches who will share their wisdom. Years ago my coach and now friend, David Herdlinger, shared this definition with me.

Knowledge is learning from your own mistakes.
Wisdom is learning from the mistakes of others.

This definition resonated with me because it was truly focused on performance. When our grandparents, to our parents, to our friends, to our colleagues and yes even our children share their mistakes, we can reduce the time necessary for improving our own performance.

For many years, the focus was on how to shorten the learning curve. Life's experiences have demonstrated to me the power of lengthening the wisdom curve. By taking this action through finding mentors, executive coaches and business coaches, we can shorten the learning curve and this allows us to better master success.

Home Business Self Improvement Tips & Motivation - How to Beat Procrastination For Good

One of the best home business self improvement tips and motivation techniques you can start practicing today is how to get rid of procrastination. Do you suffer lack in your life and business? Do you feel like you're running in circles trying to accomplish short term goals, but never seem to reach them? One of the reasons why procrastination occurs is due to a non-belief in the desired goal ahead. Let's elaborate on this further.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and not seen (Hebrews 11:6). One of the most powerful ways to break procrastination is to have undying faith. Faith is the intangible force that makes a person take action regardless of the situation at hand. As a business owner, this means marketing your business before the money shows up. It means coaching and training before the people shows up. And it also means setting yourself up to receive in abundance.

Another great self improvement and motivational tip is to study your worst possible self. I was taught this by my mentor early in my career. The more you are aware of the time your are wasting, the more equipped you will be to correct it. The goal here is to make a simple chart you can follow every day that outlines the times you are wasting time doing wasted activities rather than working on your business.

You can only have, be, or acquire to the degree that you awareness will allow you to keep it. If you can't see where you are going in your home business, you will procrastinate all the time. Being able to master this home business self improvement motivational tip will help you to excel a long way in the future.

The best home business motivation you can implement right now is learning how to get rid of procrastination. Self improvement tips come and go, however, procrastination needs to be put in check asap.

The Spiritual Response Therapy Approach to Self Improvement and Greater Serenity

What is Spiritual Response Therapy and what is it for?

At its foundation, Spiritual Response Therapy is a system that involves using a pendulum and a set of charts (with various words and phrases on them), and working with your higher self committee in order to clear and remove present and past life blocks that are standing between you and the life of results and serenity that you wish to create. Spiritual Response Therapy is also used to clear and remove spiritual blocks that you may have to healing and creating greater health in your body and mind. Spiritual Response Therapy is in essence, aside from what has already been mentioned, a way to clear and remove any limiting or blocking factors in your mind, body and soul in order to smoothen and lighten your journey forward through life and create more clarity for you.

So how does Spiritual Response Therapy fit with Self Improvement?

When you work with a Life Coach who is also a certified Spiritual Response Therapy counselor and using it as a tool during the coaching session, it is important to realize that he is able to get information about how you can best move forward towards creating the life of serenity, balance and results that you want, from your own higher self committee. This is great because it ensures the information coming through to you is not information based on any beliefs, opinions, biases etc that the life coach may have. It ensures the information comes directly from your own personal spiritual committee that knows what is best for you.

For example, in Spiritual Response Therapy fit together with Serenity Coaching, there is a 7 step Serenity Coaching model that can be used to help you generate self improvement in a very focused, clear and simple way. The 7 steps that can be used to help you create the life of serenity that you want and in turn help you progress in your journey of self improvement are:

Cultivating awareness about what you want, where you are, the resources you have and anything that may be limiting or stopping you.
Building up desire for that which you want to achieve. Many people say that they want this or that but don't have enough desire for what they want and this causes nothing to move.
Increasing and cultivating even more faith. You must have massive amounts of faith that you will have what you want. See it, hear it, feel it as if you already have it now and make it so real that it feels inevitable you will get it.
Ensuring there is a sense of "committed willingness" for self improvement. You must get into a state where you are absolutely committed and willing to do whatever it takes to get where you want.
Setting goals and creating an achievable action plan. Setting goals is a major part and aspect in self improvement. There is a saying, "The purpose of a goal is not just to achieve the goal but more importantly, the purpose of a goal is to grow into the person you need to be in order to achieve the goal".
Incorporating strategies that ensure you take consistent and persistent action towards your goals.
Recognizing completion, celebrating your progress or results and resting. In every process there must be recognition that a finishing point, even if it is the finishing point of one of the many stages, has been reached. There must be a celebration to give yourself credit for the progress you have made and then there must be a rest.

By going through those 7 steps with anything or any area of life, it will inevitably lead to self improvement. That 7 step Serenity Coaching model is specifically designed to, not only generate self improvement in the areas you want, but also to help you actually achieve your goals and create the life you want in a more aware, clarity filled and fulfilled way. You can go out right now and apply those 7 steps with anything that you would like to create in your life, it's that simple. The best part about incorporating Spiritual Response Therapy into this Serenity Coaching model is that with Spiritual Response Therapy you can get any blocks that you have to using any of the 7 steps cleared too. Sometimes people try to use the 7 steps and they take one step forward and two steps back simply because they have spiritual present or past life blocks in either 1 or more of those 7 steps in the first place.

7 Easy Self Improvement Tips

It's always best to open up one's self to new ideas and knowledge, and always be an empty cup. This way, you would ensure yourself of a continuous personal development and discover your potential. Such improvement tips will be as sufficient most especially to beginners who are just taking their first steps towards their life achievements. Success is brought about by the desire of continuously learning and adjusting.

Strategies and techniques will ensure if not a complete end result, a definitely a positive one.

In over a decade of studying different areas on personal achievement, its best to share to those who are tip toeing their way up the ladder of self improvement. Here are seven easy self improvement tips that will serve as my contribution to those people like you who aspire to achieve greater success in life.

On the top of my list is:

Daily Journal:

Daily Journal is a written form of self reflection, like when you're setting goals, it's always best to have it written to constantly remind you of every single details of every learning you have every day. Also writing down your thoughts and self reflections will help you organize and clarify all the details and situations you have, making you create better self perception and possibly better decisions. Self - awareness is the first step in LEARNING. Once you know what you have to know about yourself, it would be quite easy to reinvent yourself and strengthen your self confidence.

Next on my list is:

Meditation:

Meditation comes out to be really stressful for most, since it requires a lot serious concentrations. But it is one of the most significant in all the seven tips I have here. Having the capability to meditate and taking time to do so, frees your mind from "scraps" which causes worry, fear and anxiety. Aside from the positive psychological effect it brings to you, it also improves your heart rate and regulates healthy digestion.

In all these steps I have for you, meditation will help you achieve and complete the rest of the tips easier and more effectively.

Expecting to Win:

People with great achievements in life do one thing differently in comparison with intelligent and capable people; they expect winning, even before they know they are going to do it.

Expectations are like goals you already put into reality. When you expect something, it is more like you are already claiming it to be happening. And having this perception of winning, almost always leads a person to pursuing the goal more. Expectations do not require any knowledge of the details of how the result would come out.

Writing Goals and Plans of Actions:

Making these as a habit, will surely help you put all your goals into reality. Having your goals and plans of actions is as important as setting them. Writing them side by side with complete description and even due dates/ deadlines will help you achieve your goals with specific time frame. No delays, no worries. Plans are plans unless it is put into action. And putting action to each and every plan is the easiest way to accomplishing goals. This is both applicable to short and long term goals.

Be well Rounded:

Self actualization is equivalent to being successful in every part and aspect of your life. Personal development doesn't focus on a single area alone. Every aspect of your life affects each one, so if one is left behind, surely you will find yourself lost somewhere. Like when you're not in good shape, your financial life gets affected as well. Every single aspect of your life plays a vital role in achieving your goals.

So it's always best to be a well rounded person, work hard to have a well balanced life; having a tuned body, mind and heart is the key to becoming a better person to a great one.

Positive Affirmations:

We all feed with positive affirmations, it helps our inner self gain more confidence. These affirmations can literally alter your personality, character, attitude and even your decisions in life. If you want to maximize the result of this particular step/tips, write at least one positive affirmation for every area in your life (health, relationships, finances and career) and to make it more effective, you can even rehearse them or say them aloud twice in a day.

Teach to Learn:

Among all the tips I have here, this is the most essential. Having other people learn from you on the principles of personal growth, the better you understand its concept and the more it will be effective for you. If you don't have anyone to teach, simply write an article such as this about the principles of personal development and how they are helping you.

This is one great way to having a more in depth experience of actual application of these self improvement tips

Never shy away from being great!

Self Improvement and Motivation - Real Ideas

Who does not want to be successful in life? Everyone perhaps wants to watch himself as a happy guy. But it is very hard to be a successful. You want to be successful and you are so, it never happens. All you need a realistic viewpoint of life, perfect planning, to fix the goal and walk along the path that leads to ultimate destination. Improve and motivate yourself all the time.

You may see some people in this beautiful world who all the time opine that they have bad luck hence they can not achieve success. I think it is nothing but an excuse. Luck may not be discarded but it is your aim, your steadfastness that ultimately pays. You can never discard the role of luck to some extent. A student who is brilliant fails to achieve a job while his friend below his quality supersedes him in all respect.

How can it be? The student with quality may not have some factors that the guy who is of below quality may have. Hence he supersedes. But how can we deny the academic result? The academic result reflects the merit of a student. Then what can you say in this regard? What plays the crucial role- the academic record or the ready wit? Whatever wit may be we must come back to the main topic that is the importance of being steadfast.

Actually you must give up the habit of day dreaming what is needed is self-improvement and motivation. Scan yourself and then take the decision. Suppose one wants to be a journalist but his father has not enough money so that he may prosecute the course of journalism. What should he do? Should he stick to his own idea or shun it? I think it is better to shun the idea of being a journalist as you can never continue the course of journalism.

Some people are of opinion that if you can stick to your aim it is God who shows you the way. Can it be true? A student of poor income group can never be a doctor or engineer or a journalist provided he is helped by someone. Then if you depend on God whole heatedly can you see the ultimate light? All you have to do is to suffer in the long run for your aspirations. It may be easily being compared with day dreaming. The things needed are self-improvement and motivation.

All that is needed is realistic thought without which you have no other way than to suffer agonies for the whole life. Hence it is better to follow the light that is at hand. Never be allured. It is nothing but a mistake that ultimately leads you to despair and frustration. Self improvement and motivation are the key words that you have to follow to shine in life.

Failure may come in your way but you have to be ready to combat it. Self improvement and motivation are the two things that may help you to fight against the negative power. Do not forget to check the self improvement tips too.

The Secrets to Self Improvement Or You Are What You Think

Why is it that so many people fail to meet their full potential? How much have the rest of us missed out on because someone with fantastic potential for say, writing or painting or science, was not encouraged, felt it was not "their place" to push themselves forward ,or just felt the pressure of everyday living must take precedence over natural talent.

The aim of this article is to start you thinking about, who you are and what you expect from life, how you can improve your personal situation and contribute to others. Each one of us without exception has skills and talents that when exploited will enrich your life and the lives of others.

Take action

Ask yourself what is it that is preventing you from achieving your dreams? One of the major factors for people not meeting their full potential is low self-esteem. In its simplest form low self-esteem is anything that makes you feel bad. Self doubt, rejection, unwarranted criticism.

Do not let events such as these eat away at you, focus on the great things about you and change what you don't like. It doesn't come cheap, you must be prepared to put in the effort, you must learn to accept and love the person you are but this must come from within yourself, you must create a strong foundation on which to build otherwise anything you do build will be susceptible to attack and weakening from external influences.

That said you must approach tasks with the attitude that you will succeed, have any other thoughts and you are going to fail because you will not give it 100% effort.

Consider Olympic athletes they have trained hard to reach the Olympic finals convinced that they are going to win if they had any other thoughts what would be the point of competing and all the blood, sweat and tears.

Building a bigger you.

Keeping an open positive mind is a major step toward your "new self" listen to what people have to say, have your own point of view and put it across, remember no one likes a "yes man or woman" not everyone will agree with you but that's OK it would be a boring world if we all thought the same way.

I am sure you have heard the saying "you are what you eat" this also works for thought, "you are what you think" if you think positively you will act positively you will achieve so much more, your life will be so much more rewarding, you will have high self-esteem you will be a happier person.

This process can be made much more difficult than it needs to be if you associate with negative people, you may be working hard to see the positive side of life but if you have negative comments and vibes coming from left and right this will chip away at your resolve and pull you down, do not let this happen.

Feeling good about yourself is a sure fire way to attract other positive people to you, this results in you feeding off each others positive energy eliminating any lasting internal negative energy you may have and making it harder for external negative energy to chink your amour. A quote I once heard puts it all in perspective unfortunately I don't know the author.

"You were not born a winner you were not born a loser you are what you make yourself be." There is no doubt that is a fact.

Stand up to your demons.

We all have issues that we are apprehensive or fearful of, work to defeat them do not just try to brush them under the carpet, all that will happen is that every so often out they will pop and will scratch away at your confidence don't let it happen, it may not be easy but when you have successfully crushed them, wow what a big hit you will get, your self-esteem will skyrocket and will be fit to burst.

Take a few minutes to sit somewhere quietly list the thing or things that are bothering you, these are obviously the negatives, on the other side of the page list the positives, list all the things you like about your self, that includes things like your sense of humour or your hair anything, you are forming a balanced view of your self.

Take a little time to form a strategy to work your way around problems. Don't suffer in silence if something is troubling you talk to someone about it, a fresh view is often all it takes.

If you find your strategy hasn't worked do not give up go back to your list and look at it again workout where you fell down and try again. Never, never give up.

Education.

Try to learn a new skill every day no matter how small there is nothing like the act of learning to improve your self-esteem, how about learning a language at your local tech, it is amazing how much you can discover about your own language by learning someone else's it could do wonders for your career and you can also show off on holiday.

What were you like at maths at school? I was hopeless how about a basic maths evening class you will be amazed at the mixed age range of students there.

Have the confidence to have a go if you don't try how will you ever know?

Be organised.

Write a list of the tasks you need to do each day, put them in a descending scale of importance. There are always exceptions but for the majority of us the morning tends to be our most productive time, for that reason your list should be drawn up the evening before. Ensure that the items on your daily list are achievable.

Do your upmost to complete your list, but don't become disheartened if you are unable to especially if doing so depends on the cooperation of other people whom may have other priorities.

Seeting goals

Setting goals is absolutely essential for the success of anything you do in life, self improvement is no exception; in fact self improvement is a goal in its own right.

Write your goals down don't have vague statements such as I want more money or I want a big house, most of us would like these things. Make a statement like by the 31st December 2009 I will have £100,000 a year clear income going in to my bank account. Describe the steps you are going to take to get to this point, such as creating a multi income stream internet business and so on.

If you are not specific about your goals and how you intend to achieve them how will you know when you have reached them? So you see "more money" how much is that?

Ensure your goals are realistic if you feel they are always going to be out of reach you will become frustrated and the chances are you will fail. Goals are intended as stepping stones not stumbling blocks, got to step one? Fantastic now strive to reach step two.

Your goals must excite and inspire you, make your statement personal write about yourself, how you are going to achieve your goals, what you are going to get from them. Make it a statement of success, start it "This is the day I changed my life and became the person I have always wanted to be."

Put your statement somewhere you can readily see it, not tucked away in a draw. Read it at the start and end of each and every day. Remember what you focus on expands.

Enjoy life

This is incredibly important. What is the point of working hard and not playing hard? To complete your transition to a fulfilled and contented person you have to enjoy all that you involve yourself in. Success is a wonderful stimulant, be good at what you do learn to accept compliments they work for both the receiver and giver.

Take time to laugh, surround yourself with fun people. Appreciate beauty, we become accustomed to seeing the same things each day and because of that we take the beauty before us for granted, take a little time out and just look around you the simple things in life are often the most precious.

Self Improvement Starts With a Positive Body Image

As a society, we are constantly bombarded with images depicting perfect bodies. The advent of plastic surgery techniques, and various treatments and injections, have created a society of people who have pinched, tucked, and injected their way into becoming the stereotypical perfect 10. If you are in constant pursuit of physical self-improvement, it is easy to forget positive aspects of your body. This leads to destructive mental and physical behavior. Stop negative thinking, in relationship to body image, and start developing positive thoughts and actions.

A positive body image revolves around the acceptance of all good and bad things about your body. This means looking at your body and making the choice to find something positive. When you are completing this simple self-improvement exercise, think about all the things your body can do. This can include anything from your body's ability to take a short walk or the ability to play with your children. In addition, reflect on good health. If you are a person who goes to the doctor a handful of times per year recognize this gift. Certainly, a person with a serious illness would gladly trade, your perceived imperfections, for a healthy body.

If you are overweight, choose not to obsess about the current state of your body. We tend to obsess unnecessarily, feeding into anything and everything, in relationship to weight loss. Pack away or give away items related to weight loss that are not in use and have accumulated over the years. This includes self-improvement books or self-improvement tapes on weight loss. Items collecting dust only increase our feelings of failure. Instead, channel the same energy into finding another worthwhile cause. Take a class in a topic of interest, volunteer, or pick up a book you want to read. All are worthwhile and healthy activities.

Self-improvement advice when working on a positive body image includes looking at regular people. When you are in a large crowd look around. When you look around the crowd how many people have a perfect body? When answering this question, you are likely to say none. Everyone has unique features and flaws that make them wonderfully different. The world would be a boring and uniform place if we all had perfect bodies. Remember to celebrate your individual body type.

Wear clothing that increases your self-esteem. Wear clothes that are comfortable and look nice. Wearing the correct cut will improve your self-esteem. Get rid of tight clothing or pieces that have an unflattering fit, and give them to any number of charitable organizations. If you do not own any clothing that fits correctly, purchase inexpensive items and have them altered.

Last, eat food which makes you feel good. Eat at least 6 to 7 fruits or vegetables per day and watch your intake of caffeine and sugar. Such foods make you feel sluggish and tired. If you are sluggish and tired, it is less likely you will feel physically motivated. This is not working toward the positive goal of increasing your sense of self-improvement. Moving around, doing any physical activity, or taking the time to exercise will help you to feel better.

Self Improvement Resources

If you are interested in improving yourself, various self improvement resources are available to help you become renewed and improved. Since the resources are quite varied and huge in number, it may become difficult in which one to choose. However, you only have to ask yourself a basic and simple question, that is, what you want to improve in yourself.

Some of the most common resources for improving one's self are found online through articles and discussion about self improvement. You simply have to look in free article directories that contain the authors, publishers, and published works on self improvement. These directories have categories for self improvement that can surely help you since you do not only get to learn from one or two authors.

On the other hand, if reading bores you, you can simply listen on self improvement talks or discussions on the Internet. Various websites are available that serve as valuable resources for self improvement. You can learn from the discussions and be able to apply the most suitable learning for you.

Consequently, if you do not want to go online, many self improvement resources are available right in your finger tips. In fact, you do not have to go very far just to find them. You only have to decide on which company to keep. This means that you have to be with people that can be beneficial for your self improvement. Although you cannot choose your family or pick your co-workers, you can decide on who you want to spend with especially during your off-hours; look for people who are successful in employing the principles you want to achieve; search for mentors who can guide, influence, or teach you on the path you want to take; and search for healthy relationships that will lead you forward to your goals instead of pulling you down.

Self-Improvement E-books - Why Everyone Who Wants to Succeed Must Read Them

These days, you can find information on practically everything online! Even tips on self-improvement are no exception. In fact, there are probably thousands of self-improvement e-books online waiting to be read on the Internet. If I were you, I would take advantage of this opportunity and download as many of these e-books as I can.

Self-help e-books can lead you to a whole new perspective about the world and about yourself. If you're not a fan of reading, then this is the time to get into the habit. Here are some of the reasons why reading self-improvement e-books is so important.

Reason # 1: Reading is an essential tool to success.

Nobody will tell you how to improve yourself. Nobody will personally teach you how you can improve your outlook on life. The only way you can learn is by reading about these things yourself. And if you don't have time to read at home, at least find time to skim through self-improvement e-books in the office (during break time of course).

While checking your emails, for example, you can also spend a few minutes reading the finer points of your recently downloaded e-book. Of course, it takes more than just a good reason for you to realize the importance of reading. Hence, the next reason.

Reason # 2: Reading paves the way for more opportunities for growth.

A lot of self-improvement e-books online also talk about possible skill development. These skills may not seem important to you, but that's because you haven't had the chance to apply them on real situations yet. Take a self-help e-book on reading a person's body language for example. Arthur, a 27-year old account executive who once disliked reading, recently tried to read through a self-improvement e-book on that particular topic.

Of course, at that time, his only motivation was that the e-book seemed to have lesser pages than an actual book. By the time he was done, he realized just how fun it was to discover things that were previously unknown to him. He used his newly acquired skills at work and managed to close more deals that month than any other month in the past. Suffice to say, he was promoted in no time.

Self-improvement e-books are only as effective as the person who reads them. You might not think anything of these e-books at first, but wait until you've had the chance to try it out for yourself. Don't let go of any opportunity that might lead to more growth. Life is not stagnant and you shouldn't be either.

Awesome news! You can now get FREE instant access to some of the best self-improvement eBooks worth over $2,355.00! Download them free at http://www.20daypersuasion.com/goldaccess.htm.

Self-Improvement DVDs - Different DVDs For Different Purposes

"Nobody is perfect" is an often-repeated phrase. For every human being, there will always be room for improvement on some aspects. Also, there are people who may have unhealthy habits like chain smocking, or people who may not have good communication skills and personality, or people who may feel depressed and pessimistic about life. For a person who wants to improve upon life in general, self-improvement DVDs are a great help.

Self-improvement books were very popular in the olden days. The books provide tips on how to improve the general outlook of life. So, when personal computer and DVD players became popular as a result of the digital revolution, the content of the self-improvement books graduated into self-improvement DVDs. A major difference between the books and DVDs is that DVDs provide an audio-visual environment.

Self-improvement DVDs come in several categories: from learning how to speak English in different accents to how to get rid of fear of flying syndrome. It is up to the individuals to select what aspect of improvement he or she desires. Also, there are DVDs that provide a psycho-visual experience. It is related to mind power enhancing techniques. These DVDs are not intended for any particular area of improvement. It provides specially designed audiovisual environment. One needs only to watch it in a relaxing mood. The repeated watching is said to enhance the concentration level and thinking capacity of people. It is particularly useful for people who are depressed after a business failure or some other tragedy. As it involves only one-time payment, it is very cost effective also. There is no need to take any medicine. So, one should not fear about any side effects also.

Then there are self-improvement DVDs for specific purposes. For example, DVDs providing tips and demonstrations for weight loss are very popular. It shows a program that guides you to follow a systematic approach to dieting and exercises. Unlike books, DVDs can show you how to prepare a particular kind of dish or how to do a certain kind of exercise. Some of such DVDs are organized very systematically with special programs on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. That is, the program provides action plan for the first day, second day, and so on. One only needs to act as instructed by the program.

One can also get self-improvement DVDs for improving the communication skills and personality. The programs in these DVDs generally advise on how to improve the interpersonal talking skills and public speaking skills. The programs also suggest ways to improve the body language of the person. DVDs for quitting smocking are also available. It provides practical tips on how to resist the urge to smoke. The DVDs also contain hypnotic therapy for overcoming the habit of smocking.

Is Life Easier For Self-Improvement Aficionados? Is it Worth the Time and Money?

Let's put it this way, life will never be as great as your favorite guru would like you to believe but, if you put enough work on improving yourself, you will see a major change. That's not saying that you no longer will face challenges. Everyone does. Even Tony Robbins had to face bankruptcy at one point.

Self-improvement will give you more tools and more resources. It will provide options that you never had before. It will give you insight on the working of the mind; it will give you hope when you need it and support when the going gets rough.

There is one thing that self-improvement will never do for you and that's taking action for you. That is the major problem of those who get into self-improvement and fail. I have been very active in the self-improvement world and I have seen people spending ninety percent of their time learning new material or reading inspirational books while only spending ten percent of their time applying what they have learned. Not a good ratio at all.

Reading motivational material, attending seminars and going to great rallies can become a drug of choice. People who spend inordinate amount of time fiddling with self-help material while never taking action actually have the feeling that they are constantly improving when the reality is that they are simply chasing their own tail.

Self-improvement should be seen like any sport. First the rudiments of the discipline has to be learned followed by constant practice and occasional training lessons to learn new techniques and correct any faulty habits that may have been acquired along the way.

And, like in our sport analogy, the emphasis in self-improvement should be on the "practicing" part. Learning without doing is moot. Reading ten books on goal setting and achieving is completely worthless if the student does not set goals and strive to achieve those goals.

Back to the question, "Is Life Easier for Self-improvement Aficionados?" The answer is a non-equivocal YES. That is if there is equilibrium between the learning and the doing. The problem is that the "doing" or "taking action" part is a lot harder than the learning section.

A person could spend ten years reading about swimming but if that person does not get in the water and actually swim, chances are that falling off a boat would result in drowning. It is the same with self-improvement. The actual practice must follow the theory learning part or no change will come out of it.

Whatever we may have achieved so far, either good, bad or in between, is the result of small distinctions and small decisions that we have taken along the way. The better equipped and the more references that we had to assist us in making those distinctions/decisions, the more effective our choices were.

That's where self-improvement techniques and theories can truly assist us. Those techniques and theories are the ones that were used by successful people who came before us. They are like a map that leads to success and the good life. So, when time comes to make those decisions, they are not done randomly. They follow a road that has been traveled before and known to work.

Suppose for a minute that you decided to do a parachute jump. What is the first thing that you would do? Chances are that you would try to gather as much information about parachute jumping as you could.

Well, it's the same thing in life. We don't get a second chance. We have to get it right on the first try. So, if I could give you the best possible advice that I can think off, it would be, "Take your self-improvement work seriously." You're already well into life's parachute jump and you certainly want to get it right before you hit the ground.
